Open Play is a flexible, drop-in format designed for players of all levels to enjoy competitive doubles. Just bring your paddle, step on the court, and join the fun!
How It Works: The Paddle Up System
To ensure maximum play time and court fairness, we use a simple rotational system:
- Drop-In: Place your paddle in the designated queue ("Paddle Up").
- Games to 11: All matches are standard doubles, playing to 11 (win by 2).
- Busy Courts (when full): A 4-on, 4-off system is used. The next four paddles form the new game, and the waiting group rotates in next.
- Winner Stays (when less busy): Winning teams can choose to remain on the court for a maximum of two consecutive games before rotating off. The losing team always rotates to the back of the queue.
Skill Level Grouping (Self-Guided): Courts are loosely organized by skill level:
- Beginner: 3.0 and below
- Intermediate: 3.5 - 4.25
- Advanced: 4.5+
